PORTLAND, Maine — The fourth judge on “American Idol” says she keeps grounded with visits to her coastal home in Maine’s Prospect Harbor.

Kara DioGuardi tells Portland Magazine in May’s edition that she lives in a sea captain’s house from the 1800s and enjoys listening to the ocean. She says Prospect Harbor is where she met her fiance, Michael McCuddy, who was a general contractor working on a home next door.

On TV, DioGuardi has weathered eye rolls from Simon Cowell and criticism of her judging abilities by the viewer peanut gallery.

The singer-songwriter says that of the judges, she thinks Randy Jackson would most enjoy the slower pace of Prospect Harbor.

Whats the rest of the story?

Who cares that another rich person owns a home on the coast of Maine. What's new with that? Certainly native Mainers can't afford those properties anymore. This is yet another in a long list of non-stories from the BDN.

escape your fires and earthquakes but, don't bring your filth with you............
