Eye for an eye, she took two innocent lives, I just hope that she doesn't get off easy. I have a bad feeling that she will though. Remember Maine, we are supposed to have a TOUGH drunk driving law, now let's enforce it!

From an earlier Portland Press article: ". . .Bartlett, who was convicted of drunken driving in 1989 and 1992, faces as much as 40 years in prison and a $50,000 fine just on the two counts of manslaughter."

With no priors, I might have favored a softer sentence, but this is STRIKE THREE. Maybe they will have a decent AA group, where ever she serves her time. She should also never be issues a license in this state again. Anybody who has seen my posts knows I am all about second chances, but she has blown a second and a third. Time to put the hammer down.

Judge, please, I have kids on the road, do you?

Eight years jail and six years probation. Sends a message, a strong enough one??
