PORTLAND, Maine — A Standish woman accused of trying to kill her 53-year-old husband early Easter Sunday remains in jail on $100,000 bail following her initial appearance in Cumberland County Superior Court.

Forty-seven-year-old Linda Dolloff entered no plea Friday to charges of attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault and filing a false report in connection with the April 12 attack on Jeffrey Dolloff.

The Portland Press Herald said defense lawyer Martin Ridge did not argue the bail amount but said he plans to file a motion seeking a hearing to revisit the bail issue.

Linda Dolloff sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen during the incident and said an intruder had attacked the couple. The charges were filed after a two-month investigation.

she will not get the time she deserves and will probably get pschotherapy. the lady is crazy and should be locked up for the rest of her natural life

I am confused... if she was the one who did this, did she shoot herself? Am I reading this wrong?

The husband needs the services of Spruce Run, if they allow him in the building.

it sounded to me she went crazy when the intruder was trying to break in, then she fired a shot and hit the wrong person. Anyone know what the husbands story is?

she probably had a younger lover do it. or she is just straight up crazy and shot herself too. you know what I'm talking about we see this stuff all the time on tv and somebody finall tried.

I promise to never want to kill anyone enough to shoot myself in the process! Whoa...

hey it could be fun. but normal people don't usually find out

Erika2 She said that there was an intruder but that was the story she made up. Sounds like she shot herself in the abdomen so that she could corroborate her story. After the investigation concluded, it was discovered that there was NO intruder... Read the article again

I don't think my hubs could make me mad enough to shoot myself in the abdomen....lolol Thats nuts..

Maybe the husband shot her in the abdomen is self defense? This article doesn't really clearly draw a picture.

FINALLY a good bail amount-she should get no bail at all nor a public defender.More tax dollars wasted

Strange, fragmented story. It'll be interesting to see the total picture when/if it comes out.
