AUGUSTA, Maine — Swine flu continues to spread in Maine with seven more cases reported in the past four days.

Oh my God! A mild form of the flu.......PANDEMIC!PANDEMIC!PANDEMIC!........There are too many Chicken Little's out there. It is a mild form of the flu....period.

No once has any reference been made to how many cases of seasonal flu have occurred in Maine...I am quite sure that number far exceeds the number of swine flu cases....put the story into context .....the press continues to spread fear.....

I am glad they're trying to keep us informed. I, for one, dont want to catch it. do you?

Thinkaboutit....how is this related to the story on H1N1?

Saw a lady at the supermarket the other day with a sugical mask on. Nice... Way to go lady, spread the fear.

Why are people always so quick to condemn someone for things they don't know the whole story about? What we see with our eyes can obviously be perceived in many a different way HippyKicker. Their are many illnesses that could be the cause for a person to wear a face mask, a person with a immune disorder or someone fighting cancer or someone with a very poor lung disease and the list goes on.. In actuality the "fear" you speak of in viewing someone wearing a face mask is merely someone making an unjust judgment on someone they don't even know or have any medical knowledge of.

Kids, They'll Never learn, But I thought this was cute . . .

So Here's ah Tip . . .

Nevah Kiss ah Pig, Even if it's wearin' Lipstick !

nattybell....I could not have said it better myself.

nattybell: I think you made an important point. People are often too quick to make assumptions and judgments without knowing the facts or person's situation. This is hardly ever helpful.

thats so right some people have no immune system at all and something as small as the simple flu can harm them serverely, My husband is terminally ill and what would be a cold or the flu to me turns into pnuemonia for him, that pnuemonia has in the past landed him on life support for weeks. Its hard to say why someone is wearing a mask when out in public it could be so many reasons actually. But I also agree the media does their part in keeping people freaking over things.

oh jesus man i figured why spend my time worrying bout sumthen. i can care less bout the swine flu. if i get it i get it i am just gonna die anyways.it's just another thing for people to worry about is all it is. thats the way i look at it. peace
