3 men arrested in heroin bust in Maine

By The Associated Press

AUGUSTA, Maine — Three men have been arrested in a heroin bust in Hallowell, Maine.

Police say 28-year-old Mikel Cameron was arrested Wednesday during a vehicle stop. They said they were monitoring him electronically as he made a trip out of state and back to stock up on drugs for sale.

Police said a search of the car turned up about 210 doses of heroin, valued at $6,300.

Cameron's criminal record includes past drug offenses as well as charges of robbery, theft and burglary. He is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Correctional Facility.

The others arrested are 43-year-old Marlon Cloutier of Augusta, and 28-year-old James Tripp of Randolph.
