mugshot of Robert Medeika--charged over the weekend in connection with a pipe bomb incident at his home in Washington, Maine.

WASHINGTON, Maine - The State Fire Marshal's Office says a Washington Maine man was charged over the weekend in connection with a pipe bomb incident at his home.

Robert Medeika, 36, was arrested Saturday afternoon by the Knox County Sheriff's Office. The arrest came after the State Police tactical team located him in the home Medeika shares with his mother.

Medeika was charged with attempted extortion with a dangerous weapon and taken to the Knox County Jail. The charge stems from an incident at the house Friday night in which Medeika got into an argument with his mother and then placed, what appeared to be, a pipe bomb on a table inside the house. The woman fled the home and called the sheriff's department.

Deputies, Fire Marshal investigators and members of the State Police bomb team responded to the call Friday night. Medeika could not be located during the night and authorities obtained a search warrant on Saturday.

He was arrested about 2:30 p.m. and offered no resistance. The bomb like device could not be located, but investigators did search the house for any related items and were aided in that search by a State Police bomb dog.

Way to thank the woman who cleaned your dirty diapers, wiped your snotty nose and made sure you were fed 3 times a day for the first 18 years of your life.

First 18 years? He's 36 and still lives with Mom. She probably still feeds him and cleans up after him every day.

There's no need for a 36 year old man to be living with mommy and his butt should have been out on the street a long time ago. His mother's only crime, is loving him too much to let him suffer out in the cold, so that he'd eventually find a place of his own to live. Now that he's out, keep him out mom, he'll grow up out of necessity. It's called tough love.

I know parents who have moved out of their home to another state, just to get away from their toxic kids. It was the best thing they ever did, the kids finally got it at the age of 45!! Can you imagine? Probably more than half their life is over by that time, and they've amounted to absolutely nothing up to that point.

What a LOSER!! He is 36 years old and still lives at home with mommy, does she do his laundry, cook dinner, pack his lunches (assuming he has a job but probably not), make his bed, give him his nightly bath and dress him in his jammies too?? He should have been out of his mommy's house a long time ago, I could not imagine dating a 36 year old guy who lives with his momma! Again, WHAT A LOSER!
