Inmate missing from Bolduc Correctional Facility

By The Associated Press

WARREN, Maine — For the second time this month, prison officials in Maine are reporting an escape from a minimum-security prison in Warren.

Officials are looking for 26-year-old Clifford Perkins of Old Orchard Beach. He was last seen at the Bolduc Correctional Facility at about 9 p.m. Saturday.

According to WMTW-TV, Perkins was serving time for burglary and was due for release in 2011. He has a scorpion tattoo on his left arm.

Two other inmates escaped from the Bolduc facility early this month. They were on the loose for six days before their capture in Rhode Island.

Sounds like a great prison to go too. Wanna know if they are hiring any offices. I can do just as good as those officers do

OK I have never been accused of being a smart guy but I just wanna throw this out there. Just a crazy idea but how about ya build some FENCES?

Theyd build the fences with the inmates on the outside of them!

He must be missing his buddies that escaped a couple of weeks ago. Just think, they'll all be together again soon.

With our severely downed economy, many law abiding folks are concerned about having a job, a roof over their heads, keeping warm this winter, having 2 square meals a day, getting the medication they need, ect... These thugs will have it all, plus television, a weight room and/or gym, library and who knows what else.

For those who say "these thugs don't have it that good"... I say to you... prison isn't suppose to be a luxurious vacation and again; they have it better than a lot of law abiding folks.

Okay, BDN, why no photo? WCSH and WMTW managed to find one, and it seems to me that if the police want our help in spotting this fellow, then perhaps a picture would be appropriate? Just to help us help them, you know.

So the inmate said to the corrections officer, "h'al bet you kaint spell korrectional ossifer. And the officer tried nd failed, so he had to let him go. HIRE MORE IDIOTS TO GUARD THE INMATES.

People on the outside eating rice and beans every week imates being feed good ham and chops something aint right.

ya think maybe he,s headed to a warmer climate? i know if i had escaped i wouldnt be here waiting for snow, jus a thought.

With so many people out of work these days you'd think they could hire more competant correction officers. Just wondering too....was it the SAME

officer(s) overseeing this inmate as the others who escaped? I hope they're doing some 'in-house' investigating.

Just to set the record straight for those of you who have never turned a key in a prison, people who sit in comfy offices decide who goes to the farm. Due to cutbacks because of money mismanagement at the top, there might be two officers watching a hundred inmates. (unless one of them is pulled for different duty) Official head counts are done at set times each day to account for all convicts. Inmates, after count, may have a several hour head start before the next head count, and of course with access to phones he can have someone pick him up somewhere. Due to budget problems, prison staff have to wait for a tracking dog to respond from Windham since the dog program at the State Prison was deep sixed years ago.

Yes, the Guards did their jobs and detected and reported the missing convict.

Dang why do I have it so tough... every one has an easier job and better life than me, and they obviously don't deserve it. (>;]#

Chain link fence around Bolduc........$20,000

Enough barbed wire for the job........$2,000

Inmate Labor for installation..............Free

Keeping your name OUT of the

paper twice in the same month

for escaped prisoners.......................Priceless

The doors are equipped with the sophisticated "Hook & Eye Lock System"

robbpott......You hit the nail on the head with your statement. Anyone who says the guards aren't doing their jobs has no idea what goes on inside BCF or the big house. I won't say it isn't embarrassing having 3 inmates escape in a month and I won't say this isn't something that deffinately has to be looked into. But, thanks to the state budget, correctional officers are understaffed and two man posts are being collapsed into one man posts. This is not only a serious risk to officers safety but also puts the publics safety at risk because of escapes...

How about shooting the first inmate to run ...then maybe the rest would get the picture.

Electra glide ,you really aren't that smart are you?You always have next to zero to say ABOUT ANYTHING!!! is there anything you don't have an opinion on??
