David Krueger, 37, of Milo.

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A Milo paraplegic who randomly fired shots into the air from his home during a nearly nine-hour standoff in July pleaded guilty last week in Piscataquis County Superior Court and was given suspended sentences on three charges, including terrorizing with a weapon.

David R. Krueger, 37, was sentenced on Nov. 23 to one year with the Department of Corrections on the charge of terrorizing with a weapon, and the sentence was suspended. He also was placed on two years’ probation. Krueger received the same sentence for possession of a firearm by a felon and for violation of bail conditions. All of the sentences were concurrent.

Krueger, who uses a wheelchair, also was fined $100 for creating a police standoff and was ordered to pay $1,000 restitution as part of his probation.

Police went to Krueger’s home shortly after lunch on July 28 when a friend of his called police and reported that Krueger was despondent and had fired a shot. Krueger, who was home alone, was intoxicated, according to police reports.

After the lengthy standoff, Krueger surrendered. Police confiscated three firearms from his home: an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, a .40-caliber Sig Sauer handgun and a .357-caliber revolver, according to the reports. Ammunition also was seized.

The probation conditions imposed on Krueger include that he not use or possess alcohol, that he submit to random searches for weapons and random testing for alcohol, and that he possess no dangerous weapons.

Another wacko

Farmer 101.... How could he possible be a "Wacko". He lives in Piscataquis county. Ohhh sorry.

I was born in Dover-Foxcroft..I think the man got off easy. He is bannned from guns and drink..Good. Yet as a sp needs person he should not have guns..I am a sp needs person blind from birth..There are persons that should not have guns for health and safety reasons. Same goes for drink..It does not matter where the man lives..

Anyone getting this man help for his depression ?

my god a felon with a weapon is a federal offense and should have been a mandatory 5 years, people complaign about guns well this is why he committed major crimes and got off for 1100 bucks and not a day in jail. If we would just follow the law and prosecute people the way they are mint to be and stop playing favorites because he has had a bad life or whatever. Every time something like this happens we have to fight the anti gun nuts and then they see the pushiest he gets and they add it to their national campaign against guns. What the hell is wrong with this people we get 75 dollar tickets for not wearing a seat belt which can only hurt yourself and yet a crazy with a gun that makes a scene gets no time. This world is falling apart and it is because of things like this. It is not what you did but who you knew

by the way leave it to the bgn to get pictuers wrong, thoose are nto the weapons they sizzed or if they are they are not in the police rport, the one on the left is a dasiy red ryder bb gun, the right hand is holding a crossman 1100 bb/pellet rifle, and the other oficer is caring a billy stick. So ethier they miss wrote the articule, and or the police screwed up the report and or they are trying to make it look like he had more guns then he did.

I have to wonder if the hopeful lessons

From Newport Will help out

you'll shoot your eye out

Alsoo.. maybe I'm wrong, but should the barrel be pointed toward the ground when carrying firearms?

My god it's too early on the west coast.. What I mean to say is - aren't you supposed to carry firearms with the barrel pointed down towards the ground? Even if they are just bb guns?

Good find Elmster....Was he going to shoot someones eye out?????

yes barrel down is the standered but at least they are pointed up and not out infront of him like i have seen many pics of officers doing, so we give them some credit for not endangering others at least not in derict line of sight, also really if they are confescating them they should be locked open with a tie therw the chamber to prevent being loaded ow sorry they are bb guns so cant do that

Satan will deal with him when his time is up!

This is really a sad sad story-

A Young inexperienced officer made some mistakes - we won't be talking about that will we-

Nor will we be talking about 25-30 State Police cruisers and a Tatical Team decending upon this depressed paraplegic, and Milo.

The whole story is insane -

Whern will the citizens learn that somebody besides kids ( like adults with experience ) have to be in charge ? Kiddie corps of juvenile cops - DANGEROUS
