Maine man sentenced for arson solicitation

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — A Mattawamkeag man is going to jail for a year for trying to get someone to burn down his three-unit apartment building in Gardiner.

Seventy-three-year-old David Owen was sentenced Monday in Kennebec County Superior Court.

Owen was convicted in June of solicitation to commit arson.

No fire was ever set.
