It seems like some of these "donations were made to have "in loving memory of" in the newspaper.

P.S, By that I mean they figured that it was cheaper to donate $20 or $25.00 for this then to pay to have it actually just put in the paper for Loveing memory.

Come on PCME (AKA Ebeneezer) It was a gift to the poor through the Salvation Army. If they want to remind others of their lost loved ones I say good for them. It is a wonderful thing that Mainers reach into their pocket and give to those less fortunate in the Christmas spirit. Maybe you should give a little also.... you would feel good about it.

I agree pcme.....except I give to the red cross...and so would many others if they looked at the huge salary of some higher up salvation army peeps...NO WAY do I give to them for many reasons....yes they do good at christmas but have a fire ...see what they will do for you ..nothing
