DOVER FOXCROFT, Maine – The Piscataquis County Grand Jury todayhanded up an indictment against Christopher M. Miliano, 32, of Milo on two counts of arson, one count of theft, one count of burglary, and one count of aggravated assault related to the arson fire that destroyed the downtown section of Milo last September.

The grand jury charges that Miliano set the fire that destroyed a pub, a flower shop, a game room, a former theater and the Milo True Value hardware store and damaged a pizza parlor.

A date for Miliano’s initial court appearance has not yet been set.

The grand jury also handed up an indictment against Lonnie R. Gould, 53, of Greenville who was indicted for robbery and criminal threatening involving a standoff at Indian Hill Trading Post in Greenville last fall.

BEST NEWS THE TOWNSPEOPLE OF MILO AND THE FIRE VICTIMS HAVE HEARD SINCE THE FIRE.

Went to school with Miliano, it's sad to see that he's responsible for such a tragedy.

It is about time.. YIPPEEEE !! He is such a scum bag. I do hope he is punished to the fullest extent of the law..

Congratulations to CHIEF MIKE POULIN and the MILO Police Department.for never faltering, never giving up, and not getting tired! Investigations like this take a lot of time, energy, and meticulous detail to get it right. Chief Poulin has proven that real cops will ALWAYS get their "man." Kudos as well to the Piscataquis County Sheriff for their enduring cooperation, and never giving up on Milo's solution!

I think it was the Fire Marshall's office who handled it..I never spoke to Milo officers.

Val04463 - You actually believe you were the one reason this case was broken? How deluded. Get over yourself and be thankful a suspect has been indicted. I agree with struggles... Congrats to CHIEF MIKE POULIN. He's doing yeoman's work up there.

I don't see where Val said she was the reason this case was broken? Did I miss that some where? Still good job to who ever busted this punk.

Anyone that has any connection to Milo at all knows that Val's been running around for months saying that she and Shawn, her cook, were the only ones that "knew exactly what happened that night" and more. I don't even live there anymore, but even I heard it! Assuming that val04463 and the Val who ran Hobnobbers are one in the same, what else could one assume from her comment? I think her big mouth has, if anything, hurt the investigation. And, truth be known, the most likely reason the Fire Marshal's office had contact with her was to rule her out as a suspect. I'm sure once they did that, investigators were more interested in relevent witnesses - something she's not.

Well, I had a heck of a lot more to do with it that Poulin did!

Aww I see now Tribuchet you don't like Val.

There you have it, whitnmeme. Val04463 IS claiming to have broken the case... Or, at least claiming to have had more impact on a criminal investigation than Milo's police chief. I'm thinking this is not so much about me not liking Val, but more about her not liking Chief Mike Poulin. Makes one wonder doesn't it? I, however, can give credit where credit is rightly due... Congrats to CHIEF MIKE POULIN and the rest of the legitimate investigators involved in the case for getting this indictment, and congrats (or whatever) to VAL for having a huge deluded ego. Keep the faith, sista!!

He doesn't like what has become his lot in life..please don't be too hard on Tri...he/she (There is a whole family of them!) have a sad, sad existence and as kind people we all have to just let it vent.

I don't spend much time debating with the bunch..I just sit back and wait for the facts to ALWAYS prove me right. Well, I don't actually sit..I have a life..

I am not taking any credit for cracking the case..The case was cracked early on, it just took the State a long time to get back the DNA, then all the witnesses were re-interviewed and it didn't hurt when the girlfriend/wife turned on him after he beat the crap out of her with a baseball bat!!

I am excited for the rest of the process to come to pass...I wonder if they'll be a trial or if he'll just plead out. I would love to have a chance to hear his side of the incident.

??? Well, my bad... Ya just can't argue with crazy. Speaking of family traits, I see that one has come to pass Val. "Sins" of the mother, eh Val? See you haven't escaped 'em.

Tribuchet...You obviously have a dislike for Val as you spew venom from behind your user name..what a guy-girl! I know Val very well, I haven't heard anything about the so-called(break the case) comments. You seem to know quite a bit about the case. Who to heck have you been talking to? Your comment about deluded ego seems to fit you quite nicely. I was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say about someone, don't say anything. I find Val to be one of the most kindhearted, concerned, actively involved in the community type people I've ever met. If it's your style to talk trash from behing a use rname, so be it!

Why is what I post "venom", and what you post is not? Ahhh, I see, because YOU are posting it!! We all have our own perspective. There is a danger in putting your perspective out there on messageboards... Perhaps someone will disagree. It seems to me Val invited my "venom" by her relentless campaign against Chief Poulin (not just here, but elsewhere.) If she can't stand the heat, maybe she should not post...

I now understand. You are supporting Chief Poulin by knocking Val. I'm pleased that the arsonist has been indicted, applaud all involved in cracking the case. I can't think of another person who's cause such deep emotional pain in a community as Miliano. To think he was only in the town because of Section 8 housing, just for a few months. If Val helped break the case, great, if Chief Poulin and the Milo PD heloed, fantastic. If everyone could use their energy in a positive way, rather than petty bickering, much more could be accomplished.

I certainly agree with most of your sentiments. I think it is shameful to quibble over which of our legitimate law enforcement outlets deserve credit for cracking this case. If you'll refer back, that was the point of my initial response to Val. But, we all have to remember, this is only an indictment. He is still innocent until proven guilty and spewing out "facts" about the case in a public forum, be it here or around town, is potentially harmful to bringing about a conviction. Cheers!

Tribuchet has a good point - the guy may be guilty as sin but he hasn't been convicted yet. I'm just glad he's locked up and no longer loose in town.....

Chief Poulin and all those involved deserve credit for their efforts to protect the town.

Chief Poulin was put on administrative leave right before the case broke...he must have left good notes.

Yes, thank goodness for Chief Poulin's tireless work (and good notes). It's wonderful to have a forum to praise Milo's solution.

For Gods sake people, stuff a sock in it! Anything I ever said about the residents of Milo you have certainly proven to be true in these comments!! Maybe Val should get a new job as an investigator. She stated herself that she had more to do with anything then the police did. She always was pretty " puffed" up! And why does Milo need a pub? Drink at home ,as usual. If you burn something else down , it will be your place, not someone else's!

Louise, I don't understand your post..comments about Milo residents, etc.....Obviously another Val disliker...Puffed up..I interpret as confidence, trying to make a positive difference, being very concerned about her hometown, a good quality!

I would consider the statement, "I just sit back and wait for the facts to Always prove me right", Pretty damn arrogant!

TO Calvin, RIGHT! And you don't need to understand my posts, as long as I do!

Call me a "Val-hater," but Louise certainly has a point... Gotta love those rose-colored glasses tho, calvin. I like your tenacity... Perhaps it could be channeled to a more productive use?

Tribuchet..Born in Milo, raised in Milo, in a few years retire in Milo. I totally enjoy the people there, wish there were more opportunities for employment, but do feel better days are coming! A short commute to Bangor. It's was so hurtful and meaningless to have a person move to the community, simply for cheap housing, contribute ZERO, do such damage. I hope he is proven quilty, but still the damage has been done. I appreciate the active approach Val has for her community involvment, maybe offensive to some, but perhaps don't really know what make's her tick.....perfect, no, but I haven't met the perfect person yet, and I'm an oldtimer!

We all have a niche, calvin, and I'm glad you've found yours. Key words there are "born in Milo, raised in Milo." I'm sure you'll have no problem there when you move back... In Milo, it's ALL about who you're related to, being "from" there. I'm guessing that is why Val gets such a bye - she's "from" Milo, after all. That said, you seem decent. It's too bad more people like you couldn't have stayed in Milo... I'm sure it would be a much better place today if more decent people DID stay...

Calvin..don't let these trolls get to you..they are like this all the time..I'm letting this thread die..Believe me, they just get more hateful..
