Well, Ahem, I have to say Mr. Greyhawk1, that Latin gangs aren't all that prevalent here in Millinocket. We did have a guy named Garcia who lived here once back in the days of pot, Boones Farm, and parties in the pit, but since then not much activity at all. As for the radical Left there's not much evidence of that either here in central/northern Maine. As I recall, when the BDN ran the first article about Amber killing her husband... most thought that she should be sent to prison to rot because she was just another woman who was going to get away with murder. There is generally a long history of abuse by these "crazy" people who are killed by their wives and obviously this guy was no exception. Men like him are so "out there" mentally that their wives and children can't make a move without them "exploding" and causing physical harm and or mental harm to them. Those taking the abuse can only take so much before they too, go off the deep end. Unless you've lived with someone like this, I know you can't imagine one taking someone elses life but this is the result of severe physical and mental abuse. I don't condone it, I am just saying that I understand her situation.

I am certain that there is a sense of relief now that her abuser is gone, but there may also be a horrible feeling inside her bout the fact that she has killed another human being. She will always live in her own private hell whether she's convicted or not.

The reality is, that when a child is raised in a home like this, the need for counseling is imperative to prevent another cycle of abuse when the child grows up, gets married and has children of his/her own. My brother hated my father for the way he was, yet he grew up to be just like him.

It seems to me that if you're suggesting someone should get some kind of medal honoring them for killing another human being, no matter how justified you feel they are or how justified they may eventually be shown to be, that yes, you are indeed condoning that act. How can you argue otherwise?

the medal is clearly & only for the act of being strong enough to finally stand up & fight back in the midst of violence & terror - which resulted in saving the life of her child (which is the sole context in regards to the 'medal') & self.

there are many parents who do not fight for the lives of their children - obvious daily in the news...anyone, male or female, young or old, who would (& do) hurt or allow a child to be hurt emotionally, physically or spiritually are clearly the monsters...

The Mendocino Beacon newspaper is saying that James Cummings jr was a great contributor to community causes in his old hometown of Fort Bragg ( where his father was murdered) and that Amber was having an affair with a handyman.

I understand domestic abuse is covert, yet there were accusations made on the comment site of the mendecino times about the relationship with both Amber and a handyman.

No additional documents have surfaced online that reference Cummings. The threat center spokeswoman said she’s in the process of having the current document removed from WikiLeaks, one of the sites that posted it.

The document indicated that Cummings had quantities of hydrogen peroxide, uranium, thorium, lithium metal, thermite, aluminum powder, beryllium, boron, black iron oxide and magnesium ribbon. Cummings also reportedly had literature on how to build dirty bombs and information about cesium-137, strontium-90 and cobalt-60, additional radioactive materials, although he did not actually have those materials.

I think it's pretty obvious that in addition to being a racist, Mr. Cummings fancied himself a Dominant and Master of his wife, amber.

Several clues fall in perfect line with this theory that many people might be uncomfortable with and that many other racist, sexist men will dispute:

If accredited universities , don't allow you to use Wikipedia, (which WikiLeak is a brach of) then the media shouldnt be posting this information either.
