BANGOR – Alex Robert Fox, 2 years 5 months, died Feb. 2, 2008, at his home, in the loving arms of his parents, Kathy and Duane Fox. Although he was only here on this Earth for a short time, he has impacted the loves of so many. He had a true fighting spirit and fought hard to be with us as long as he could. We will truly miss his gentle smile, infectious giggle and his little hands reaching for and holding on to us. He has made such a difference in our lives and we have truly been blessed to be his parents. He is survived by his parents of Bangor; four brothers and one sister, Erik Voogd, U.S. Navy, Maryland, Scott and David Hamel of Bangor, Kevin Hamel of Old Town and Michelle Parker of Bangor; his grandmother, Lorraine Keefe; his uncles and aunts, Bob and Dolly White of Dover, Nick and Doe Fox of Bangor, Pat and LuAnn Keefe, Aunt Susan Keefe of New Jersey; aunties, Jo, Pauline, Crystal and Joy; cousins, Matt and Brian of New Jersey; brother-in-law, Roy Parker of Bangor; nieces and nephews, Rochelle, Collin, Mattea, Morgan, Riley, Kayla, Grace and Brandon. He will be deeply missed by the following family and friends, the Rev. Thomas Lequin, Baby JJ, Cathy Hamel, Chasity Hamel, Stacey Hamel and Coco; his loving nurse, Brenda from CHCS Hospice; all the caring staff from Osco Pharmacy; and his special angel, Maria Rosenberg. He was predeceased by his grandfather, James Keefe; grandparents, Phyllis and Al Fox; and his uncle, Kevin. Special thanks to Dr. Amy Barrett for her loving and caring heart; all the doctors, nurses and staff at Husson Pediatrics, Andrea Haskell, Lindsay Chadbourne, Brook, Norman, Jim, Tammy, Beth, Gail, Grace, Griffin, Peyton, Mark, Lyrica, Julie, Amber, Ashley, Jamie, Ethan and Hannah; the very many who cared about him at DHHS and Kids Peace; the 8th floor Eastern Maine Medical Center Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and children’s floor staff; and all the loving people who donated so much to insure he had his special bed, making his last days comfortable.
