LINCOLN – Alice A. (Bryer) Dobson, went home to be with the Lord she loved and faithfully served, March 20, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 14, 1920, in Maxfield, to Elmer and Edna (Sawyer) Bryer. Alice graduated from Machias Normal School and taught school in Chester for a while. She was a longtime, faithful member of the First Bible Baptist Church of Lincoln. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Hezekiah Ireland; an infant daughter, Faye Margaret Ireland; three sons, Carroll and Eugene Ireland and Robert Michael Dobson; and two brothers, Everett and Frank Bryer. In addition to her devoted husband of 56 years, Fred Dobson Sr.; she is survived by daughter, Doris Libby of Chester; son, Temple Ireland and his wife, Edith, of Chester; son, Fred Dobson Jr. and his wife, Donna; and daughter Janet Radovic and her husband, Albert Radovic, all of Seymour, Conn.; and son, James Dobson of Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Eileen Ireland of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Bobby Libby, Rhonda Libby, Barbara Ireland, Cheri Archer, Tanya Taylor and Rebecca Radovic; a sister, Charlotte Michaud and her husband, Neil, of Maxfield; seven great-grandchildren (and was looking forward to the eighth in August); several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Terry Upcott and the Rev. Ronald Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery, later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her memory to the First Bible Baptist Church of Lincoln.
