FORT FAIRFIELD – Alton W. “Bud” Faye Sr., 90, husband of Dolly (King) Faye, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 16, 2008, at a Caribou nursing facility, after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 30, 1917, in Fort Fairfield, the son of George and Sadie (Condon) Fay. He attended local schools and was married to Dolly King, Aug. 14, 1950. He was predeceased by one son, Alton W. Faye Jr., May 19, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolly Faye of Fort Fairfield; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Barbara Faye of Caribou; two daughters, Valerie “Tory” King and her husband, Gregory, of Caribou, Diane Fay of Fort Fairfield; five grandchildren, Wade Faye, Ashley King, Jodi, Darci and Jesse Fay; six great- grandchildren, Mikaela, Sadie, Riley and Gavin Faye, Savannah Hash, Duncan King. There will be no services at this time. A graveside service of committal will be held later in the spring at St. Denis Cath-olic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Alton to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, One Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086. Envelopes will be obtained through the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield.
