PORTLAND – Cindie J. (Silverman) Deane passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at her home, after her battle with cancer for the past 10 years. Cindie was born June 5, 1956, in Portland, a devoted daughter of the late Milton and Gladys (Black) Silverman. Cindie graduated from Deering High School. At the time of her death, she owned her own businesses that consisted of a night club and a clothing boutique located in Bedford, N.H. Cindie’s best times were spent at her home in Portland with her husband, daughter and her three dogs. She was best described as a woman with great gumption and love. Cindie is survived by her husband, Mark R. Deane; daughter, Nicole Silverman; stepson, Mike Deane; five sisters, Bonnie Tracey and her husband, Wayne, of Windham, Pennie Silverman of Florida, Jerrie Dubreuil and her husband, Mark, of Connecticut, Terrie Deeb and her husband, William, of Massachusetts, Min-die Galvin and her husband, James, of Portland; brother, David Silverman and his wife, Carla, of Cumberland; and her three dogs, Jessie, Jamie and Bailey. Relatives and friends are invited to call 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Norman Bumby officiating. Burial will be held after at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
