HARTLAND – Edward L. Miller, 67, died May 16, 2004, peacefully at his home in Hartland. He was born Sept. 17, 1936, in Stearns, Ky., the son of the late James and Laura Miller. Ed served eight years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Nynex after 30 years of employment, and was also employed by Integrity Realty in Newport. Ed was a member of Grace Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Hartland. Ed was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Anah Temple Shriners. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and making bird carvings. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Loretta Miller, of Hartland; a son, James A. Miller and his wife, Kim, of West Enfield; two grandchildren, Trey and Raeann Miller of West Enfield; a sister, Julia Young and her husband, James, of Russellville, Ky.; two brothers, Gene Miller and Jay Miller, both of Florida; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ed and Lorraine Warner of Hermon, Beverly and Stephen Doody of Levant, and Luke and Gail Wieder of Presque Isle; and a nephew and his family, Ryan, Michelle and Seth Doody of Wells. He is also survived by his beloved pet Dachsund, Oscar. Visitation will take place 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2004, with a funeral service and Masonic service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Hartland. The service will be officiated by Pastor Brenda Haskell. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Mr. Miller’s memory to Grace Linn Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O.
