CASWELL – George Leo Labreck, 80, died Dec. 9, 2005, at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born July 6, 1925, in Caswell, the son of Noel and Alice (Fisher) Labreck. He was employed as a cook at the former Loring Air Force Base in Limestone for many years. George was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion, Levasseur-Farrell Post No. 49 of Van Buren. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Bell) Labreck of Caswell; one son, Wayne Labreck and his wife, Jeanne, of Biddeford; two brothers, Clifford Labreck of Caswell and Claude Labreck of Hamlin; three sisters, Edna Perreault of Van Buren, Eva Bell of Caswell and Beatrice Morin of Hamlin; four grandchildren, Scott and his wife, Wendy, Russell, Krystal and Kerry; one great-grandson, Gavin Brochu. Relatives and friends may call 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Hamlin.
