BANGOR and CAMDEN – Louise Jacqueline (Frost) Mahaney Witham, 68, died March 4, 2006, at the Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport. She was born March 19, 1937, in Bangor, the daughter of H. Parker and Phyllis Leoma (Webber) Frost. Jackie was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1955, attended Connecticut College and was a graduate of Sotheby’s of London. She was a shareholder and director of Webber Oil Companies, chairperson of the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, committee of 200 of New York, member and past president of the Junior League of Bangor, a former board member of the YWCA, the Good Samaritan Home, Community Health and Counseling Services, served on the board of the Blaine House Restoration, a member of the Shakespeare Club, DAR and the Mayflower Society. Jackie was a bright, exquisitely beautiful, gracious lady who will be remembered for her generous philanthropy throughout the state. Surviving are two sons, Kevin P. Mahaney and his wife, Diana, of Greenwich, Conn., Lance D. Mahaney and his wife, Patricia, of Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Christopher Mahaney, David Chandler Mahaney and Nicholas Z.F. Mahaney; one sister, Linda F. Harnum and her husband, Richard, of Holden; a niece, Keeley H. Boone of Bangor; a nephew, Richard B. Harnum of Hermon and lifelong friend, Sandra E. Bryant, of Bangor. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, Larry K. Mahaney. A funeral service will be held at All Souls Congregational Church, 10 Broadway Bangor, in early May, at a date and time to be announced, with the Rev. Dr. James L. Haddix, pastor and teacher, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
