WASHBURN – Margaret Campbell, 86, passed away Oct. 28, 2007, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Washburn, the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Tarbox) McDuff. She was a graduate of Washburn High School, Class of 1940. Margaret married Vaughn Campbell, Oct. 29, 1941. Her life was devoted to her family, friends and church. She spent her life serving others; this included her love of cooking, which gave her joy to share with others. She was a lifelong member of Washburn Pentecostal Church, where she served in various capacities. Margaret was predeceased by her dear husband of 48 years; and eight sisters, Mary Marr, Elsie Clayton, Violet McIntosh, Nellie Humphrey, Wilda Spooner, Irene Spooner, Francis Beaulier; and an infant sister. She is survived by five sons and their wives, Dick and Rachel Campbell of Mapleton, Dwayne and Jeannette Campbell of York, Pa., Dale and Brenda Campbell of Washburn, Terry and Donna Campbell of Milford, Vaughn Jr. and Sharon Campbell of El Dorado, Calif.; three daughters and their husbands, Patsy and Fred Flewelling of Crouseville, Debbie and Dean Bird of Crouseville and Cheryl and Rodney Sperry of Washburn. Grammie Campbell was well loved by her 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A committal service will be held noon Thursday, Nov. 1, at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn, with a celebration of her life 1 p.m. at Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Dwayne Campbell and Bruce Blakney officiating.
