MAURICE SULLIVAN ORONO – Maurice Sullivan, 75, husband of Phyllis Sullivan for 49 years, died Aug. 16, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Orono, the son of the late Daniel and Gladys (LaBree) Sullivan. Maurice served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Penobscot Shoe Company in Old Town for many years. Maurice loved his family, reading, and puttering around the house. In addition to his wife, Phyllis; he is survived by his son, Michael Sullivan; step-daughter, Joy Howlett; brother, Daniel Sullivan Jr. and his wife, Kathleen “Peachy”; sister, Beverly and her husband, Fred Wallace; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at Brookings-Smith LeBeau Chapel, 72 Main St., Orono. Relatives and friends are invited to gather from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
