PENOBSCOT – Michael Dean Jones, 53, died Oct. 20, 2005, in Ellsworth. He was born April 13, 1952, in Blue Hill, the son of Lester E. and Kathleen (Richards) Jones. He worked at the Champion Paper Mill for 25 years and was a lobsterman. Mike was so grateful for the programs and assistance of being clean and sober for 17 years. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren. Mike is survived by his wife, Genie; and his mother, Kathleen, both of Penobscot; daughter, Jill Jones and husband, Aaron Carter, their children, Isaiah and Everett; step-daughter, Sandi Murphy and husband, Roger, their children, Aaron, Brooke and Evan; step-son, Philip Francis and wife, Katie, their children, Carlee, Myrah, Lillian and Michele. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the East Blue Hill Village Church with the Rev. Ron Hutchins officiating.
