GUILFORD – Myron Melvin Robinson, 81, died Jan. 21, 2005, at a local hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Willimantic, the son of Walter and Lillian (Knowles) Robinson. Myron graduated from Monson Academy, class of 1939. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942-1945, where he learned to be a cook. He was the Baker at Crockett’s Bakery from 1947-1968, and worked a short time at Guilford Industries. He later worked as a janitor at the local schools and for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camp, and rides in the car. Myron was a 50 year member of Mt. Kineo Masonic Lodge No. 109 in Guilford. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara J. (Melia) Robinson; six children, Ronald Robinson and his wife, Dorcas, of Dover-Foxcroft, Lillian Bemis and her husband, Charlie, of Brewer, Melvin Robinson and his wife, Martha, of North Carolina, Wayne Robinson of Sangerville, Norma-Jean Wood and her husband, Gene, of Windsor, and Julie Bui and her fianc?, Minh, of Guilford; 12 grandchildren, Courtney, Lincoln, Jake, Heidi, Christopher, Briggitte, Jessica, Sonja, Danny, Thao, Trung, and Nga; 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Kristina, Emma, Brittney, Sydnie, Brandon, Toby, Haylie, Kyle and Christopher; a brother, Norman Robinson and his wife, Eleanor, of Bangor; a sister, Velma Richardson of California; several special nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, and a sister. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford, where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Lloyd Rozelle officiating. Spring burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Willimantic.
