DEXTER – Philip J. Chabot, 79, died March 14, 2006, at his home after a period of ill health. He was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Garland, the son of Aurele and Marie (Laflamme) Chabot. He was educated in the schools of Dexter. For 42 years Philip was a machinist for Fayscott in Dexter. He also farmed and milked 35 head of cattle for many years. He enjoyed having a huge vegetable garden that he would share with his family and friends. Philip also enjoyed hunting, fishing and sitting on the porch of his son’s camp telling his many stories of the past. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Philip A. and Lorie Chabot, Charles and Diane Chabot, all of Dexter; two daughters, Betty Chabot of Dexter and Sandra Sinclair of Florida; two grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan Chabot of Dexter; and two step-grandchildren, Brandon and Kimberly Derosier of Dexter; four sisters, Jeanette Clukey, Rita Clukey, Helen Clukey and Florence Gould, all of Dexter; and a special niece, Susan Manson of Corinna and many more nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Mary (Edgecomb) Chabot; two grandchildren, Shannon and Christopher Sinclair; a son-in-law, Galen Sinclair; and four brothers, Lewis, Joseph, Lionel and Paul Chabot. At his request there are no public visiting hours. Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. June 24, at the family lot in the Morse’s Corner Cemetery Corinna.
