ORLANDO, Fla. – Robert O. “Bob” Farrington, 56, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006. Born in Bangor, he moved to central Florida in 1972. He was the greens keeper at Winter Pines Golf Course, Winter Park, Fla., for the past 30 years and little league baseball coach and umpire at Union Park for 13 years. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen Farrington of Orlando, Fla.; sons, Brian Farrington and Kevin Farrington and his wife, Wendy, all of Orlando, Fla.; mother, Barbara Farrington of Hampden; brother, Michael Farrington of Hampden; sister, Carol Pullen of Oakland; granddaughter, Holly; and his extended family at Winter Pines Golf Course. Funeral services will be conducted 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in the chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Fla. Visitation will be held 5-6 p.m. prior to the service.
