SPRINGFIELD – Rosalie H. Moores, 86, wife of the late Dwight Moores, died Aug. 31, 2006, at a Biddeford health care facility. She was born Sept. 23, 1919, in Carroll, the daughter of Walter and Lulu (Boyington) Danforth. Rosalie enjoyed gardening and her flowers, and she loved to cook. She was a longtime Springfield resident, moving to the southern part of the state in her later years to be near her children. She is survived by two sons, Hadley of Somersworth, N.H., and Lloyd of Raleigh, N.C.; three daughters, Betty Clayton of Carmel, Barbara McDunnah of North Berwick and Ann Hanson of Casco; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Murray Danforth; a sister, Verna Blanchard; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be private.
