SARAH WINIFRED SHAW PRESQUE ISLE – Sarah Winifred Shaw, 79, died Dec. 11, 2003, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born July 27, 1924, in New Castle Creek, New Brunswick, the daughter of James I. and Margaret (MacNamara) Flower. Winnie was a devoted wife to Merrill Shaw for 37 years. She was loved by all who were blessed to know her. She had a wonderful love of life and had a great sense of humor. A dedicated Christian who served the Lord faithfully, Winnie will always be remembered by her family and friends. Surviving her besides her husband of Presque Isle, is her brother, Bliss Flower and his wife, Elizabeth, of Milton, Ontario; a sister, Lorraine Price of Fredericton, New Brunswick; an aunt, Marion MacNamara of New Castle, New Brunswick; she was a special sister-in-law to Robert and Patricia Shaw of Presque Isle, Earl and Audrey Brown of Presque Isle, Patty Kiser of Easton, Geraldine Whittaker of Presque Isle, Goldena Spencer of Brewer, and Linwood and Esther Roix of Millinocket. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Geneva Brooks; a step-brother, Donald MacNamara; a sister-in-law, Verna Condon; a brother-in-law, Roy (Pete) Shaw Jr.; and a nephew, Dale Shaw. Relatives and friends may call 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at the Easton Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Andy DeRier officiating. A spring interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle.
