CARIBOU – Veronique F. Berube, 91, wife of the late Irenee “Rene” Berube, died April 5, 2007, in Caribou. He was born July 1, 1915, in Caribou, the daughter of Reuben and Marie (Cyr) Ouellette. She was employed at Birds Eye and at Converse for many years, and was also a Stanley Home Products representative for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Lister-Knowlton Post No. 9389 VFW. She is survived by two grandchildren, Mark Berube of Lewiston and Melanie Berube of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Valerie Berube of Caribou; a special cousin, Lucianne Belanger of Caribou, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Irenee in 1996; a daughter, Bertha Taylor; a son, Louis M. Berube. Friends may call 9 a.m. until time of services Monday, April 9, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with services held 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond officiating. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
