MESA, Ariz. – Lorena M. Bourland, 67, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Banner Desert Hospital. Lorena was born Feb. 17, 1941, in St. John. She is survived by one daughter, Robin and Duane of Iowa; three sons, Charles, Marcus and Jennifer, and Jon II and Tiffany, all of Arizona. She was extremely proud of her granddaughter, Taylor; and her seven grandsons, Jacob, Jon III, Ryan, Wyatt, Cameron, Trey and Cody. She also leaves behind two sisters, Mona and Andrea; one brother, Sheldon, all of Maine; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jon in 2002; and her parents, Lawrence and Viola Sturgeon. Visitation for Mrs. Bourland will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 East Broadway Road, Mesa, Ariz. Private interment service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18.
