FRANKLIN and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Clare Beal Brown, 59, died peacefully July 3, 2009, at her residence, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born Oct. 10, 1949, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Harold and Marion (Pierce) Beal. Clare graduated from Pemetic High School and worked for Downeast Health Services for many years. She loved going to softball tournaments in New England and Florida. She also enjoyed playing golf, reading and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Ray T. Brown; her father, Harold R. Beal and wife, Marsha; sons, Christopher T. Woodward, Mathew R. Brown and wife, Tina, and Aaron W. Brown and wife, Richelle; daughters, Tracy L. Jameson and husband, Stephen, and Darcie L. Brown; grandchildren, Emma Clare Jameson, Christina Woodward, Victoria Woodward, Alexandria Brown, Zachary Brown, Mackenzie Brown, Bradley Marsh and Jenna Jameson; sister, Mary Ann Dow; and mother-in-law, Muriel Brown. She will be sadly missed by many, many close, dear friends. She was predeceased by a son, Curt E. Woodward; and her mother, Marion Beal Hodgkins.
