VAN BUREN – Glorianne M. Chasse, 77, died Sept. 16, 2009, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1932, in St. Basile, New Brunswick, daughter of Joseph E. and Helene (Cyr) Roy. Prior to returning to the Van Buren area a few years ago, she and her husband were residents of Old Saybrook, Conn. She is survived by her husband, Nelson Chasse of Van Buren; two daughters, Elaine Cirillo and her husband, Dennis, of East Haddam, Conn., and Lisa Chasse of Norwich, Conn.; two sons, Michael Chasse of Middletown, Conn., and Ivan Chassie and his wife, Doreen, of Goshen, Conn.; two sisters, Lilianne Landry of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Anne Gauvin of Salem, N.H.; two brothers, Armand Roy of East Hampton, Conn., and Donat Roy of North Windham, Conn.; and five grandchildren, Melanie Cirillo, Justin Hunter, Nickola Chasse, Eric Chassie and Kristyn Chassie. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery.
