AUGUSTA, Maine — A team of auditors from a national agency is giving high grades to the Maine State Prison and the Bolduc Correctional Facility.

Independent inspectors from the American Correctional Association reaccredited the two Warren facilities after spending four days evaluating their compliance with more than 450 health, safety and other standards.

Maine Corrections Commissioner Martin Magnusson said accreditation is an objective assessment of how well the state’s correctional facilities are run.

State officials said the high-security state prison and minimum-security Bolduc are the last of six state correctional facilities to get high ratings in reaccreditation audits this year.
