Pray, who also had three assists, set the tone for 5-0 Central’s second-half outburst by scoring her team’s first two buckets of the third quarter, and even though George Stevens’ Stevie Theo-haridis stuck with Pray like glue on defense, Pray hit virtually every shot she took in the final 16 minutes.
Central also dominated on the backboards, as Roberta Trafton had 10 rebounds – six on the offensive end – while Jocelyn Portmann and 6-foot-2 center Bekah Campbell had
eight apiece.
Campbell scored 12 points for Central while freshman guard Max McHugh had 11 points and four steals.
The Red Devils recorded 18 offensive rebounds as a unit.

At the Northern Maine Forum, Presque Isle, Brennen Shaw scored two goals as Presque Isle held off Greely in a rematch of last year’s Class B state final.
Greely scored three third-period goals to get within a goal of Presque Isle. Greely beat Presque Isle 5-1 in the state championship game.
Steve Ford had a goal and an assist for the 4-1 Wildcats. Zac Campbell and Adam Flynn also scored. Isaac Lajoie recorded two assists. Jason Martin and Caleb Buck assisted Shaw’s first period goal.
