EAST MILLINOCKET – Luella Marie (Theriault) Michaud, passed away peacefully Dec. 25, 2009, one day prior to her 94th birthday, with her loving family by her side. Luella was born Dec. 26, 1915, at Grand Falls, New Brunswick, daughter of Eugene Theriault and Marie (Deschene) Theriault. Luella moved to East Millinocket at age 6, where she resided at the family homestead for her entire life. She graduated from Schenck High School in 1936. She married Frederick E. Michaud, June 15, 1937, in a double wedding ceremony with her sister, Cecile, at St. Peter’s Church, East Millinocket. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella for 77 years, and her hobbies included ceramics, knitting club, bowling league, cooking and baking, and she enjoyed the family camp. She greeted everyone who walked through the doors of her home with open arms, love and kindness. She truly will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Marie and Eugene Theriault, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Frederick, in 1975; her grandson, Scott Boynton, in 1969, her sisters, Anna Pelletier, Leona Morin, Alice Morin, Julia Beaulieu, Veronica Picard and Cecile White; and brothers, Joseph Theriault, Ernest Theriault and Alfred Theriault. Luella is survived by her sister and caregiver, Esther Theriault; her daughter, Constance Boynton of Naples; her sons, Stephen Michaud and wife, Lucille, of Gorham, N.H., and John Michaud of East Millinocket; grandchildren, Grant, Daniel and Aaron Boynton and his wife, Wendy, Reggie Coulombe and his wife, Carla, Matthew, Jessica, Jules and Robert Michaud; her great-grandchildren, Nicholas Murray, Joshua and Katie Boynton and Audrey and Haley Coulombe; a sister, Esther Theriault, who cared for Luella for years; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Lamson Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 58 Cedar St., East Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.
