BELFAST, Maine — A Stockton Springs man already on bail for domestic violence assault was arrested on charges he assaulted the same woman on Monday.
Kirt Damon Jr., 20, of Damon Road, was charged with domestic violence assault and violation of bail conditions following the incident at Penobscot Terrace, Police Chief Jeffrey Trafton said Tuesday.
Damon was arrested in Belfast for domestic violence assault in July and was released on bail. His bail conditions forbade him from having any contact with the female victim or engaging in criminal behavior while free. He violated both of those conditions, Trafton said.
Damon was taken to the Waldo County Jail where bail was set at $500 for the domestic violence assault and is being held without bail for violating the conditions of his earlier release.
