ENFIELD – Roberta H. Archer, 77, passed away Aug. 28, 2010, at her home after a long illness. She was born Sept. 20, 1932, in Lincoln, the daughter of Clayton and Evelyn Jenkins. Berta was a longtime employee of the U.S. Postal Service. She is survived by Roscoe; their three sons, Rocky Archer III and wife, Helen, Russell Archer and Clayt Archer; and four daughters, Jackie and husband, Larry Crocker, Jane and husband, Bob Reedinger, Beth Wheaton, and Roxanne and husband, Steve Fogg. They are also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. We express our thanks to close friends that have supported her though difficult times, especially Betty and Blaine Batchelder, Rodney Drinkwater and neighbors. Berta requested not to have any services. If you wish to express your condolences to the family, their home in Enfield will be open 2-3 and 7-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the American Cancer Society. “To live in the hearts left behind is not to die.”
