BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor man was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries he suffered when he was struck by a pickup on Hammond Street.
Robert Royal, 53, who suffered a head injury, was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Information about his medical condition was not available late Tuesday night.
The accident happened about 6 p.m. on Hammond Street when James Nadeau, 49, of Hermon, driving a 2005 GMC pickup truck, struck Royal while making a turn from Hildreth Street onto Hammond Street, Bangor police Sgt. Catherine Rumsey said Tuesday night, citing a police report.
No charges are pending in connection with the accident, Rumsey said.
