BANGOR, Maine — A male bicyclist was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by a car at the intersection of Maine Avenue and Corporate Drive.

Daniel Neptune, 33, of Bangor was riding his bicycle on Maine Avenue about 3:45 p.m. when he turned onto Cor-porate Drive and traveled into the path of a Honda SUV driven by Stephen Crichton, 65, also of Bangor, Sgt. Cather-ine Rumsey said, citing an accident report.

Neptune, who suffered a cut to his head and a possible broken arm, was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment, Rumsey said. Further information about his medical condition was unavailable late Tuesday night.

Crichton, who did not have a passenger on board, was not hurt, Rumsey said.
