SPRINGFIELD – Linda Ann (White) Krapf, 52, wife of John Krapf Sr., passed away peacefully Oct. 12, 2010, surrounded by her family and friends at home, due to complications of the side effects of the treatments she had received. She was born Jan. 17, 1958, daughter of Annie (McLaughlin) White and the late Edward White Sr. Linda was so proud she beat non-Hodgkins lymphoma with the help of her brother, John, for donating his stem cell for the transplant in 2009. We want to thank John from the bottom of our hearts for giving us two more years to have her with us. Also we want to thank her sister-in-law, Lisa White, for all the doctor trips and trips to Chicago, and the unconditional love and support she gave Linda. She was Linda’s Nurse Ratchet. Linda loved life. She was the most happy when spending time with her family. She enjoyed her Sunday dinners and things like camping, and her yearly trips to New York to see the Yankees play ball, and the stop over at Hampton Beach. She loved the ocean. Christmas was her favorite holiday, with tons of presents under the tree. She would always worry that there wasn’t enough, or that someone had more than the other. Linda took joy in helping others. She headed up many benefit suppers for people in need, even wanting to help when she was at her worst. To know Linda was to love her. Her love, kindness and generosity has touched so many lives and will be greatly missed. In addition to her mother, Annie, and her husband, John, she is survived by three children: son, John Glidden Jr. and Melissa Sullivan and her children, Matthew, Heidi, Kortny and Cody, son, Peter Glidden, and daughter, Wendy Marie Glidden; stepson, John “Johnny” Krapf Jr. and Rochelle Burrill; stepdaughter, Katie Krapf and Cody McDonald; three grandchildren whom she loved more than life itself, Eric Amos Jipson III, Mikayla Ann Glidden and Matthew John Glidden; six brothers, Eddie White and his wife, Imelda, and children, Elizabeth and Vanessa, Robert White, Thomas White and his wife, Jennifer, and Tommy, James White and his children, Stephanie and Cody, John White and his wife, Wanda, and children, Sarah, Lacy-Jo and John White Jr., and Paul White and his wife, Lisa, and children, Tyler and Shane; special friends, Kim and Dane Glidden and girls, Cindy and Joey Crooker and boys, and Shelly and Scott Arthers and family; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom and Monica Krapf and family, Steven and Victoria Krapf and family, Tom and Jane Stepanec and family, and James and Kathy Krapf and family. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Glidden Sr.; her father, Edward White Sr.; and her brother, Timothy White. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a memorial service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Roger Cyr officiating. Interment will be at Lindsay Cemetery, Carroll. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
