SHIRLEY, Maine — Police are investigating a break-in at a storage unit in Shirley.
The owner reported to police on Feb. 11 that someone had broken the lock to his unit and several items had been taken, including a grandfather clock, a washing machine and a dryer.
The owner, who had not visited the unit for two years, is completing an inventory for police, according to Investigator Jamie Kane of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.
