Broom ball in Orono to raise funds for Make-A Wish Foundation

ORONO, Maine — The Third Watch Hockey Club and the University of Maine Women’s Hockey Team will compete,  instead of hockey, in the fourth annual Broom Ball Game at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the University of Maine Alfond Arena. The club raises money in the annual charity, and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine is this year’s recipient.  There will be prizes, a 50-50 raffle and Make-A-Wish Foundation items for sale. Buffet, tunes from 1950s planned at Winetrberry Heights

BANGOR, Maine — The Winterberry Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care Community will hold a ‘50s flashback event 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 18, at 932 Ohio St. in Bangor.
