ORONO, Maine — The Portland construction firm working on renovations to Alfond Arena reported a theft from the site to University of Maine police on Friday morning.
Workers reported that three bundles of wooden grade stakes, used as elevation references on construction sites, disappeared overnight, according to Joe Carr, spokesman for UMaine.
The value of the stakes was estimated at $90. (Judy Harrison, BDN)
