BANGOR, Maine — Voters adopted a $41.6 million budget for education in the coming year during a school budget validation referendum Tuesday.
The budget was passed in a 410-114 vote, according to election results posted Tuesday night on the city’s website.
The budget that went before voters reflects a series of cost-cutting measures, including the elimination of a dozen positions and cuts from a number of areas including supplies, textbooks and minor capital improvements.
