PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — A New Hampshire fisherman is safe after falling off a cliff and being pulled from the water by two passing fishermen.
Andy Barrett of Portsmouth told WMUR-TV that he was fishing from a cliff when he slipped and fell into the Piscataqua River on Sunday morning.
Two men heading out in a boat to fish spotted Barrett waving to them from the choppy water.
Steve Muise then steered the boat toward Barrett, and the other man, Arthur Veinott, threw out a floatation device. The two men then were able to pull Barrett aboard.
They took him to a marina in Eliot, Maine, where he received medical attention.
