VANCEBORO – Kenneth Fraser Mason, 58, passed away peacefully Aug. 13, 2011, at his home. He was born Sept. 4, 1952, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, son of the late Ethel F. (Russell) Mason and E. Fraser Mason of St. Croix, New Brunswick.
Kenneth had many jobs. He worked for Georgia Pacific; as a cop in South Berwick and Machias; as a security guard at the Baileyville mill; and for many years, ran the family sporting camps, Lake View Camps on Spednic Lake.
He will be deeply missed by his oldest daughter, Vicki, who had tried her best to care for him when he was home for the past 10 years; also by Vicki’s daughter, Teanna; Vicki’s best friend, Bill Ayer; his only son, Sherman and his wife, Jill, and their six girls, all of Vanceboro, especially Taylor and Cassidy who enjoyed making cookies with him; his youngest daughter, Cheyene and her boyfriend, Drew, of Eliot; and his ex-wife, Judy Mason of Rochester, N.H. He also leaves behind his cousins, who were like siblings to him, Alan and Gail Russell, and their children, and Shirley Thornton and her significant other, Mike; also his great-aunts and great-uncles; his canine companions, Scooby and Diesel; and many more friends.
