PLYMOUTH, Maine — An Etna woman facing manslaughter and reckless conduct charges as a result of a fatal truck rollover in January 2010 was arrested again last week for possessing diverted prescription drugs and violating her bail conditions, police say.

Heidi L. Tasker, 23, was stopped for speeding in Plymouth just before 2 p.m. on Aug. 23 and was found with “some prescription medication, schedule Z drugs, not properly labeled or accounted for,” Sgt. Bill Birch of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

Tasker was arrested and charged with unlawful drug possession and felony violation of her bail conditions.

The bail violation is a felony because “she’s out on bail from Skowhegan for a felony — vehicular manslaughter” and reckless conduct, Birch said.

Tasker was driving a 2002 GMC quad cab pickup truck carrying four people on Jan. 14, 2010, when she rolled the vehicle on St. Albans Road in Palmyra, ejecting three of the four passengers.

Kale Page, 19, of Palmyra was thrown from the truck and died at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor the next morning.

Tasker was indicted by the Somerset County grand jury in September 2010 on charges of manslaughter and reckless conduct and is awaiting her trial.
