BANGOR, Maine — An officer who went to the Ranger Inn on outer Hammond Street about 12:15 p.m. Thursday to serve a subpoena found a car that had been stolen from Bangor earlier in the day.

David Harris, 30, of Bangor was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, trafficking in dangerous knives, carrying a concealed weapon, operating a motor vehicle after suspension and violation of a condition of release, according to a press release issued Monday by Bangor police.

The subpoena was not for Harris, according to Sgt. Paul Edwards.

In a search of the stolen car, officers found several sharp-edged weapons. Harrison also had a spring-loaded weapon on his person, Edwards said in the release.

Harris was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later released on bail. (Judy Harrison, BDN)

    1. He does look more like an animal than a human, doesn’t he?
And let’s hope they don’t bail him again.

    2. Sadly he isn’t off the streets.  Pay a few bucks bail and you’re back before your beer gets warm, or your girlfriend’s stitches have been put in, or your parents have been bandaged up, or …….

  1. I was not able to see the tattoo that says “PUNK” on his head? I’m sure it there, he ll I think it’s written all over him!

  2. We’ve been overrun with losers.  I don’t even feel safe taking a walk around here anymore.

    1. Bangor has turned into Lewiston-North. The main reason I moved to the mountains a few months ago.
