BANGOR, Maine — St. Joseph Healthcare recently welcomed two new staff members to its organization.

Kassie Zeigler recently was hired as the new executive director of Community Networks and Foundation. Zeigler will oversee development efforts for St. Joseph Healthcare through community partnership building, philanthropy and stewardship, legislative advocacy and research and grant writing efforts.

Zeigler is a 2002 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and holds multiple degrees from UMaine, including a master’s degree in English. She served in the Maine Legislature from 1992 to 2000, serving on the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs. She and her husband, Brett, reside in Bangor with their three-year-old daughter.

Kevin Sedgwick also has joined St. Joseph Healthcare as the new assistant vice president of finance.

Sedgwick will concentrate his efforts in improving revenue cycle and financial management operations. For the past eight years he has held the position of chief financial officer at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. Prior to that he worked for the Maine Health Alliance.

St. Joseph Healthcare employs more than 800 people in more than 30 departments.
