PRESQUE ISLE – Fern Lannigan Maskell, 77, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at a Mars Hill health care facility.
She was born May 27, 1934, in Presque Isle, daughter of John and Adeline (Bull) Lannigan.
Fern worked for many years in customer service at Ames and also at Zayre department stores. She also drove taxi for several years. Fern drew faith and encouragement by listening to Charles Stanley on the television.
She leaves behind four children, Linda Smith of Nebraska, Janet Graham and her husband, Scott, of Hermon, Kathy Warren of Biddeford and Scott Campbell and his wife, Lordes, of Jaffrey, N.H.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Malcolm Lannigan of California. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Sherman Lannigan.
