ORONO, Maine — An Old Town man was arrested after police say he assaulted his ex-girlfriend and stole prescription drugs from her.
Patrick John Erbland, 33, was charged with domestic violence assault and stealing drugs, both Class D misdemeanors, and Class E theft because he also allegedly took the woman’s cellphone, Orono police Capt. Josh Ewing said.
Erbland was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later released. The woman did not require medical attention.
Why was he released? An attack should be enough to keep him in jail!!!
It’s Maine…everyone deserves 14 or 15 chances. Maybe he has a wounded inner child?
Did the inner child get out of jail too?

My reply to olderandmellow A large percentage of the time thier are no marks or ones the woman did to herself. WOMAN DO HIT MEN MORE THAN MEN HIT WOMAN. noot talking about broken bones cases . I was arrested years ago because my them girlfriend came back after a week and stole my last $100 . I took the plates off the car She was using (was registered tiled and insured in my name) she called the police they said thier is nothing they could do unless I hit her she lied latter went to the DA admitted to lying . I was arested she got MY car. He wanted so much for me to take a plea bargin. In court he tried to get a continuance because he said he issued a supeana for her to be in court with he never did at least for that case. Its not about GUILT its about being politicaly corect. I wanted to report the car stolen .I was stongly advized not to do so. (cop gave her my plates). Its a lot of BS. yes men beat woman I’m saying innocent people get covicted too.
And because of this incident, you now have a bad attitude towards women. (And they say women hold a grudge! *shakes head*) Pull up your big boy panties, dust yourself off and stop dwelling on the past. Until you get over this, you will never be happy about ANYTHING!
